Cabbage worms are repelled by thyme, so it would be a good idea to plant thyme near your susceptible plants. Cabbage worms are attracted to mustard plants, so planting mustard near more valuable plants can be a good trap for cabbage worms. Once they take over the mustard, you can destroy the plant. Try planting red leafed varieties of cabbage.
The amount of water a worm needs a day are 2 teaspoon a day and they need water to stay alive because they need to be moist.

May 03, 2012 · A note, they may molt if given time. Additionally, depending on the size you got some may turn stiff and black. Set them aside and DON'T toss them. They're still alive!! If you hold them under the warming light for ten or so seconds they wake up. The darker ones are actually older and higher in calcium.
Mar 26, 2014 · Most of the parasites need their hosts creature be alive. However, lots of parasites can weaken the host creature and speed up their death. I haven’t seen these white worms sitting on shrimp gills (it’s on a side of a head), but it they do, they can harm shrimps quite fast.
I keep them in the fridge and they last until every last one of them is eaten! That's usually about 3-4 weeks for me. They don't seem to like being completely immersed in water, just barely cover the top of them. They climb up the sides of the container for a bit and then go back to the water.
Our winter temps average about 32F or 0C. The lowest temps in the winter get to about -9C or 15F. Right now I have a 15 watt grow matt propped inside the top of the bin. I have lots of shredded paper in the bottom of the bin which I know provides some insulation. Any suggestions for keeping my worms alive over the winter would be appreciated.
Oct 27, 2012 · When you take the worm medicine they kill the worms but not the eggs so after you took the treatment some more may have hatched and these are babies, they cant mate until there two weeks so you must not forget to repeat the medicine 2 weeks after this should do the job but they are so easy to come back in the home, hovering and washing the sheets regularly should help, and make sure everybody washes there hands after they have been to the loo.

Jan 16, 2020 · The traps are set up with a bait like mosquito larvae to attract the worms. If you leave the trap for the night, you can expect to see some trapped worms by morning. You can then place the trap in boiling water to kill them effectively. Repeat the procedure a couple of times to bring the planaria to manageable levels.
